Ipe glued and screwed to marine ply. The lids rabbet in place and rest on foam rubber providing water resistance. The storage bins accommodate sterlite boxes providing a waterproof option.

Spanish Cedar slats lap over and into the steel frame. Tapped the steel and threaded set screws every few slats. They move, they breathe, they’re not going anywhere.

The uprights tenon through the feet. The cross brace tenons are keyed with walnut splines. The top rail locks in with halved joints and lifts off for easy replacement.
Sugar Maple Coffee Table

Tenoned Maple legs lock into a Cherry pegged bridle joint. The halved joint Ambrosia Maple apron screws to the Maple top permitting movement.
Layers add Depth
Cheap, versatile, easily painted MDF. About six hours to cut, contour, and apply wall panels, four hours for the pedestals.

Custom Lattice Wainscott and Shutter Bathroom
This project highlights attention to detail. The screen pattern didn’t divide evenly. I tailored the shutter frame rabbets, and rabbeted all the trim, to accommodate this irregularity. Unfortunately the textile manufacturer did not prove as fastidious.
Bamboo Wainscott Bathroom
3/8″Bamboo plywood lightens up a conventional beadboard application. Mitered seams accent Bamboo’s strong vertical grain.
